This is SO exciting! Cambrya is HEAD DOWN! Of course, she can still move around but most likely - the norm- is that she will stay that way! God has blessed us with this little girl being in the right position for a home birth. What a relief! One more thing that is in the right direction for a natural delivery. I am so thankful for this because our hospital is really tricky right now with midwife/homebirth/VBAC people - none of the doctors are really able to give their full support because of hospital policies.
Weight gain and belly measurements are both right where they should be. My glucose test was today and was good. This time I had the option of drinking the glucola drink or eating toast, eggs, orange juice and milk. I chose the food! LOL No surprise - I did have to hold my nose and chug to drink the milk but that was still easier than drinking the flat sugary soda stuff. Oh and I am no longer the worlds most dehydrated person. Not that I love drinking water but I know that it is best for me and the little girl.
Now it's time to order my birth kit (just disposable supplies like gloves and such) and the birth tub will be coming to the house shortly. Appointments are now every 2 weeks for the next month. My midwife just had a baby and looking at her little guy today - I can't believe we are about to start all over again! It seems so strange that we will have a baby in the house. Silas is such a joy and I love being a mom to a toddler that I find the newborn stage a little scary and unfamiliar....I know that probably doesn't make sense but it already seems like so long ago that I was recovering from a c-section and figuring out all that nursing stuff. But as the closet slowly fills with pink and the appointments get closer - I know this is about to happen and I'm sure that I will be just as much in awe of God's creation and goodness when I am holding our sweet little baby. 2 months to go!
